WWE Fastlane - 10th March 2019

We kicked off the night with the Preshow and, despite promoting 2 matches, we only had the 1 match. New Day (in the form of Xavier Woods and Big E) beating Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura in a decent enough match up, Big E pinning Rusev after the ‘Up Up Down Down’ tag team finisher.
Match Rating - ** 1/2

The Usos (c) vs Shane McMahon and The Miz (Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships) - The Crowd were hot for this match as we were in Miz’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and they gave the face team a massive reception as they entered. Shane McMahon and The Miz dominated proceedings early on, with Shane proving hes the best in the world. My interests in this match were pretty much 0, but Shane performed a Coast 2 Coast into Jey Uso while he was in mid air going for the splash, that kind of killed him off for the rest of the match (like normal). The Fans and Mr Miz encouraged Clevelands Own to go to the top rope, he did and attempted a frog splash, Jey got his knees up and rolled him up, picking up the victory and retaining the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships. After the match there was a heel turn and we can never have too many Heel McMahon family members as Shane destroyed The Miz and also put his hands on Mr Miz.

Asuka (c) vs Mandy Rose (Smackdown Live Womens Championship) - This match was a bit all over the place, the finish saw Sonya Deville get a Kendo Stick from under ring, but Mandy Rose slipped over the apron curtain because Deville because she forgot to drap it back into its normal place. Asuka hit a spinning heel kick and retained the Smackdown Live Womens Championship via Pin Fall.
Match Rating - **

The Bar vs Kofi Kingston - Impromptu match made by Vince McMahon back stage. Vince said that he would make the WWE Championship match a triple threat and convinced Kofi Kingston that it was happening right now, it didn’t. Greg Hamilton got told that it was now a Handicap match and The Bar came out, completely destroyed Kofi and picked up the win. Wrestling.
Match Rating - * 1/2

Revival (c) vs Chad Gable & Bobby Roode vs Aleister Black & Ricochet (RAW Tag Team Championships) - Our first good match of the night, with all 3 teams showing some great chemistry and hitting some awesome spots. Ending of the match saw Chad Gable get isolated in the ring with the Revival after Ricochet had flew over the turnbuckles to take Bobby Roode out. Revival hit the Shatter Machine onto Gable and Retained the RAW Tag Team Championship. The action wasn’t over as Roode attacked the Revival before Aleister Black & Ricochet wiped out all 4 men to look strong after their first loss on the main roster.
Match Rating - *** 1/4

Samoa Joe (c) vs R-Truth vs Rey Mysterio vs Andrade (United States Championship) - As I said before, The Preshow match between Rey Mysterio and Andrade got cancelled so they could enter this match. This decision was proven a right one as this match was just as good as the previous match and it also felt different from the exact same match that happened on Smackdown Live. Samoa Joe retaining the United States Championship by making Mysterio choke out in a matter of seconds with the Coquina Clutch. GO AND WATCH IT!
Match Rating - *** 1/4

Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection (c) vs Nia Jax & Tamina (Womens Tag Team Championships) - This match unfortunately under the run of good matches as there were quite a few botches early on and it never recovered. Bayley rolling up Nia Jax to retain the Womens Tag Team Championship.
Match Rating - ** 1/4

Daniel Bryan (c) vs Kevin Owens vs Mustafa Ali (WWE Championship) - This was my Match of the Night, everyone was hoping that Kofi Kingston was the 3rd man but instead it was the man that could’ve been in Kingstons position if it wasn’t for injury, Mustafa Ali. The crowd were chanting for Kofi constantly (vibes of 2014 Daniel Bryan) but these 3 managed to get the crowd on board with some fantastic moments. Daniel Bryan picking up the victory but hitting the running knee on a mid flight Ali to retain the WWE Championship.
Match Rating - *** 3/4 (MOTN)

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch (If Becky wins, She will be added to the RAW Womens Championship match at Wrestlemania) - Throughout this match, Charlotte Flair was mocking Becky Lynch for her knee injury. Charlotte finally locked in the Figure 4 Leg lock but before she could arch up into the Figure 8, Ronda Rousey came out and punched Lynch in the stomach, but instead of carrying on the attack, Rousey just stood their and waited for Charles Robinson to call for the DQ. Becky wins the match and will go to Wrestlemania.
Match Rating - ***

The Shield vs Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin - This was a fun match and was pretty chaotic in classic Shield fashion with Seth Rollins jumping off the stairs in the crowd onto the Heels down below like hes down before. We got that feel good moment at the end with Rollins hitting a Curb Stomp on Bobby Lashley on the announcers table, A Shield powerbomb on Drew McIntyre through the Spanish Announcer table and then ANOTHER Shield powerbomb to Baron Corbin so for one last time, The Hounds of Justice picked up a victory.
